Church Planting and Home Missions Conference 2009

With more than 25 pastors and church planters (and their families) in attendance, this year’s Church Planting and  Home Missions Conference was a tremendous time of encouragement. Many needs were met. The preaching was especially poignant for this day and time. Preachers and their families were moved “forward on their journey”

Preached Sermons:

Monday Evening: All Power (part 1 of 2) (Pastor Jerry Scheidbach, Santa Maria Valley Lighthouse Baptist Church, Santa Maria, CA)

Tuesday Morning: Building Broken Lives (Pastor Rob Badger, Victory Baptist Church, North Hollywood, CA)

Tuesday Evening: All Power (part 2 of 2) (Pastor Jerry Scheidbach, Santa Maria Valley Lighthouse Baptist Church, Santa Maria, CA)

Each year following Thanksgiving our church hosts pastors and missionaries and their families from all over the western United States.

These men, their wives and families dedicate their entire lives to the work of God by way of church planting. Following the call of God, they make great sacrifices and place much faith on the Lord. These great servants of the Lord step out by faith, trusting the Lord to provide their daily needs.Church Planting

The purpose of the 2009 Church Planting and Home Missions Conference is to provide an opportunity for these church planters to be encouraged. Many independent Baptist churches of like faith will assemble to be a part of providing for the needs of church planting families.

This event is the highlight of the year for Calvary Baptist Church. Our church works throughout the year to see what the Lord will do during these few short days.

Are you a church planter? If so, you are welcome to attend the Church Planting and Home Missions Conference. We would be honoured to help you in any way we can.

The conference begins Monday, November 30 at 5:30 PST with a hosted meal for all preachers and their families. There will be services Monday night, Tuesday morning and night and Wednesday night. As well, church planters and others are given an opportunity to present their ministries Tuesday afternoon. There is a special event just for the ladies. And lest we forget, the children in attendance will be treated very special indeed.

Don’t miss the opportunity!
